Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's location to display nearby painting locations and to allow you to pin your paintings on the map. You may disable location access at any time in your device settings. Uploaded Artwork: Any paintings, images, and associated metadata (title, medium, size, location, date) that you upload to the app. Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app, including pages viewed, features used, and session duration, to improve the service.
We use the information we collect to: • Provide, operate, and maintain the Plein Air Pal service • Display your paintings and profile to other users • Enable map-based discovery of plein air locations • Process event listing submissions and payments • Send important service notifications • Improve and personalize your experience • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to enhance the app
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the app (such as Supabase for database and storage, and RevenueCat for subscription management), solely to provide those services. Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Location access is used to show your position on the map and to attach location metadata to paintings you upload. We do not share your precise real-time location with other users without your explicit consent. You can disable location access at any time through your device's settings, though some features will be unavailable without it.
Plein Air Pal is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
